Billy is pleased to announce that his photo Seamstress has been shortlisted for The Royal Photographic Society 165th edition of the International Photography Exhibition (IPE 165).
The shortlist was narrowed down from 5205 photographers to 416 photographers from 41 countries. The final selection of 100 photographs will be chosen and announced in September. The selection, made anonymously, demonstrates the breadth of contemporary image-making and storytelling that includes alternative approaches, new genres, and processes and explores themes of identity, relationships, religion, conflict, global cultural issues and the environment.

The Royal Photographic Society announced the 2023 call for entries for the 165th edition of the International Photography Exhibition (IPE 165) in February. The world’s longest running photography exhibition celebrates contemporary photography from across the globe.
Welcoming submissions from new, emerging, and established photographers of all ages and working in any subject or genre. New approaches, alternative photographic processes and experimental work is encouraged. The selection panel made up from Àsìkò, Louise Fedotov-Clements, Siqi Li, Raquel Villar-Pérez and Dr Michael Pritchard narrowed down the open call entries to the 416 shortlisted photographers from 41 countries.
